If needed, X-rays will be taken to get a comprehensive view of your oral health. Your well-being is our priority, and our dental team is committed to providing you with a personalized and attentive experience from the very beginning.
New Patient Forms at Initial Visit
It is standard practice for new patients to fill out forms when they visit a dental office for the first time.
These forms gather essential information about the patient’s medical history, dental history, insurance, and contact details. This information helps the dental team provide the best possible care and ensures that they are aware of any pre-existing conditions that could impact treatment.
Anxious Patients
Dental care and regular check-ups are extremely important. For patients who feel anxious about dental visits, we understand your concerns and are here to help you feel at ease.
Our team is experienced in assisting nervous patients, and we are dedicated to creating a reassuring and calm atmosphere. We provide amenities like comfortable seating, soothing music, and a relaxing atmosphere in the waiting area and treatment rooms. We will thoroughly explain procedures and treatments. We can also discuss sedation options prior to any procedures to ensure a positive experience and minimize stress or discomfort. Every patient is treated with care, respect and patience to ease anxiety.
Sedation Options For Anxious Patients
Sedation options are available at Barresi DiCocco Family Dentistry for both adults and children.
The choice of sedation will depend on your level of anxiety, the complexity of the procedure, and your medical history. Our experienced dental team will discuss these options with you, considering your comfort and safety at all times. Our dentists are skilled in administering nitrous oxide, which is a safe and commonly used sedative in dentistry. Nitrous oxide is inhaled through a patient’s nose for several minutes and the resulting effect is a general feeling of calm, as well as a mild anesthetic for pain reduction. It wears off quickly, allowing patients to resume normal activities without lingering effects. Oral sedation or sedation medication options may also be available. Please contact our office for more information.
