Dental Services
For Children & Families

We understand that visiting the dentist can cause feelings of anxiety for children.
Our dentists have children of their own and understand children’s dental needs and the importance of creating a positive dental experience from the beginning.
If your child has special needs or anxiety, please communicate this with the dentist beforehand. Our dental team provides a welcoming and supportive child-friendly atmosphere to help reduce stress and anxiety in order for children to feel comfortable and at ease while receiving dental services.
It is recommended that a child’s first dental visit occur within six months after their first tooth erupts, but no later than their first birthday. Early visits help familiarize children with the dental office environment and allow our dentists to monitor their oral development. Children should visit the dentist every six months for cleanings, exams, and preventive care. Teaching children the importance of oral care from a young age can set them up for a lifetime of good habits.
Sedation Options For Children & Families
Nitrous oxide, commonly referred to as “laughing gas,” is a safe and effective sedation option often used in our dental office to help calm nervous or anxious children and adults during dental procedures.
It is administered through a mask placed over the nose and the patient breathes in as normal. Nitrous oxide has a soothing effect that can help alleviate anxiety and fear, making the dental experience more positive for the patient. It wears off quickly once removed, without lingering effects. If you have any questions or concerns about our dental services for children, please discuss them with our dental team.
